Name/Work Name: Yuna Yuki / Tomoko
Canon: Yuki Yuna is a Hero
Canon Point: Mid episode 12, after throwing herself in the line of fire of the Vertex's final attack.
AU/CRAU: N
Age: 14
History: History section of her wikia page, and the wikipedia article covers the basic plot of the series and is also worth noting!
Personality:
If you were to ask Yuna what sort of person she is, her answer would undoubtedly be "A hero!"
This is the sort of statement that embodies her personality the most. Yuna is a very brave, self-sacrificing, and eager to help person. Whenever one of her friends needs help, or even when it comes to people she's unfamiliar with, Yuna would never hesitate in lending a hand to someone in need! That's what made her so eager to join her school's "Hero club" in the first place (a club dedicated to giving assistance to other school clubs when they're short members, doing community service, helping out in after-school projects, things of that nature), and it's what made her so willing to accept that the hero club wasn't strictly what she had signed up for in the first place. In actuality, her beloved club was actually a gathering of girls chosen by the group 'Taisha', who serve the resident deity of the world 'Shinju', in order to foster teamwork and camaraderie in the girls who are to protect their world, but that's fine! Something that Yuna can absolutely take in stride, considering this means she can help her world on both a small scale, and a large one.
The word 'hero' is one Yuna is very fixated on, and it's one that shines through her personality very brightly. The concept is such an idealized one to her, that it often trumps any instinct to hang back and rationalize situations. If a situation looks to be too pressing, with time running short, Yuna is prone to simply jumping in and following her gut on what she thinks is the best solution. To her credit, these snap judgements usually work in her favor, though it does get the occasional uneasy reaction from her companions, simply because no one would ever think to expend a ton of power in order to quickly defeat an enemy that's already surrounded when it's established to be detrimental to your health to take on the burden yourself, and no one would ever consider abandoning the script for a puppet show for elementary school kids and going to off-course with it as to have the puppets devolve into physical violence just because the stage fell over to be a normal course of action.
With so much of her personality and actions built around the idea of wanting and needing to be a hero for others, it's made Yuna an incredibly trustworthy person to anyone who knows her. She can be depended on to come at the beck and call of anyone who she can help, and even those she can't. She strives to do her best constantly, and if she alone isn't enough, she knows when to call in others for support as well. From the small, everyday things such as celebrating a stubborn friend's birthday to make her feel included, cheering on a girl with immense stage fright to pursue her ambitions, to the large, world-shattering things like delivering a wake-up punch to a friend who's thoroughly snapped and immediately assuring her that she won't be abandoned over her actions, Yuna is insanely perceptive when it comes to figuring out ways to help others. As stated before, they aren't always the most rational of solutions, but taking action to better a situation will always be better than not doing what you can, in Yuna's mind.
On the other hand, a lot of her childish idealism is just that; very childish and naive. Her morals aren't the black and white variety, but she tends to see things from an optimists point of view, which often means she misses the bigger implications of simple facts. Upon being told that those under the service of Shinju-sama don't die, Yuna finds this to be a positive thing. A hero shouldn't die, of course! Heroes are around to serve and protect, and in order to do that, they need to stay alive. The reality of the situation, however, is more that heroes can't die, and after being told this from someone who had been through the hero system enough to know that the longer you're a part of it, the more it destroys your body, Yuna's declaration that not dying is a good thing feels completely misplaced.
Even after finding out about the sort of weight that's been put on her and the other girls, Yuna still remains a bright, shining beacon to her friends. They're important to her, after all, and she has to do her best to help them! Of course, she's not so proud as to not accept help in return, and the give-and-take sort of relationship she has with them is vital to letting her thrive as she wants to. The few times we see Yuna alone, trying to work through heavy situations are her own, we see a very different side of her. Upon learning that her sense of taste is gone (snacks and food and being able to enjoy them are important to her!), she appears a little lost, and melancholic, up until she's reunited with her friends, at which point the group celebrates what they believe to be a complete victory of their enemies with a bunch of snacks and sodas. Yuna, of course, can't taste any of this, but surrounded by her friends, she remains cheerful for their sake, and genuinely seems to be put into better spirits over the situation as a result. On a more drastic scale, Yuna is left alone at one point, her best friend attempting to completely destroy the world, and the rest of the heroes having gone off on their own to try and stop her (normal every day kinds of things), and Yuna is so thoroughly distraught that she's completely unable to transform into hero mode. However, as soon as one of her comrades returns, assures her she isn't alone, and reminds her of what she's fighting for, Yuna is able to muster her courage back up.
After all is said and done, though, what stands out most about Yuna under normal circumstances is that she's a cheerful, outgoing, and energetic young girl. She wants nothing more than to make friends, help them out whenever she can, and have a good time in their company.
Debt: "To heal what was sacrificed."
Yuna isn't necessarily after taking back what Shinju-sama received from the heroes as payment for using its power, because it's important that they were able to do so in the first place! But the Witch led her to believe that she is capable of repairing the other girls, allowing them to heal and recover in a way that wouldn't be 'taking back' what Shinju-sama took. Additionally, Yuna being on Koriko called for her to be essentially resurrected from a comatose state, which was added to her debt as well.
Previous Game Info: Nah
Inventory: Her mankai garb, as well as her cell phone.
Abilities: For all intents and purposes, Yuna's skill set is largely limited to what a 14 year old human is capable of. That said, she's got great physical capabilities, having been coached in martial arts by her parents, and is often sought out by sports clubs for additional help when it's needed.
Her status as a hero is also worth mentioning as well! Heroes in this world are basically guardians that are recruited based on an aptitude test (Yuna is said to have scored very high on it, though the parameters of it are undisclosed), and protect the deity of the world that has deemed humanity worth saving, after the other gods of the universe deemed it fit to erase them. Yuna and her friends end up fighting off cosmic threats created by the opposing gods, and are given power in order to match what's being thrown at them. With the use of an app on her phone, Yuna borrows power from the world's deity, which makes her incredibly resilient, strong, and gives her strikes an additional, firey wallop! While not directly tied to her or her abilities, the app also gives Yuna a guardian fairy (a second one is granted around half-way through the series) which acts as a power buff, shield, and makes her completely unkillable.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
+ Optimistic
+ Reliable
+ Observant
+ Cheerful
+ Strong sense of self
- Reactionary
- Short-sighted
- Self sacrificing, to a fault
- Easily swayed

Characterization Sample:
The first order of business when arriving somewhere new it so get a good feel of the place! If she's going to be staying here for a while, and Tomoko is sure it's going to be quite a while, then she wants to know where everything is! The employees quarters in particular, of course, are where she's going to be spending enough time to want to know it like the back of her hand. The kitchens seem nice and well stocked, the lounge is roomy, and the rooms themselves... well, spending nights in a room with 5 other people might not be entirely bad, as long as she can get along with her new roommates easily...! It might even be like the hotel the hero club spent some vacation time in. Though... remembering the time the five girls spent together makes Tomoko feel a tiny bit... melancholy.
She is going to be here for a long time, after all. She already can tell she's going to miss the others deeply. But... knowing that she's here for their benefit makes it seem a little easier.
Stopping in the lounge for a second time, she surveys the area thoughtfully. There are a good number of things that make the room feel a little more welcoming, but she can't help but think there's something else that could be done to make her feel a little more at home.
"Hm...!"
The thoughtful hum is accompanied with her focus climbing up to the walls - largely empty, aside from one of the large bulletin boards that seem to be a pretty common sight. She attention lingers to some of the empty space for a moment, two moments, and then... "Ah! I know what will work!"
She just arrived, Tomoko doesn't really have any money to be spending on nice supplies just yet, but there's not shortage of paper and pens for the other workers to write on the message boards with. For now, that's plenty. She'll just have to remember to get herself a nice brush set at some point, and fix the signs up sooner or later. Working diligently at one of the tables, Tomoko's efforts are soon rewarded with five sheets of paper, each with a different saying on them.
"Give a good greeting." Tomoko thinks of how she'll have to introduce herself to her new roommates, who will hopefully become her new friends. "Try not to give up." Even if she has to stay here for a long time, it's to help everyone who fought by her side back home. "Sleep well, eat well." Taking care of yourself is the first step to getting lots of work done! "If you're troubled, talk to someone!" It seems like there are a lot of other people working here, surely there will be others that she can find company in if she starts to get troubled. "You're likely to succeed if you try." Tomoko's going to give this her all, because that's what she'd do in any other situation! She stops after penning the final sign, admiring her work, before shuffling to a new sheet of paper, this time to write a message to post up on the board.
She's going to give her absolute best greeting!
